Alex

She wished it had been just a normal sleepover! It was a normal day in Cayman Islands. Natalie had been invited to Noelle’s house for a sleepover. She was really excited because her parent never let her go to sleepovers. You would imagine she didn’t have much expierience with one either.

The sleepover at Noelle’s house was extremely fun. The girls ate delicious pancakes, bothered her super annoying brother, went extreme fishing, and finally got into the swimming pool. They stayed in the pool for a really long time until the phone call arrived. Natalie and Noelle were in the pool playing dolphins in their own imaginary world, when suddenly Noelle’s mom came dashing outside and told them that they had to go to the hospital immediately! Natalie and Noelle were soaking wet from the pool. They didn’t have much time to get dressed, so they just put on whatever they saw first. Natalie and Noelle still had no idea why they were going to the hospital but they went anyway.

When they arrived at the hospital the doctor said that Natalie was the only one that could go into the room. She was kind of scared. When Natalie walked into the hospital room her mom was on a hospital bed with a little tiny creature in her arms. It took Natalie some time to realize that the little creature was her little brother who had just been born.

Natalie had imagined this moment much differently. Her whole family was dressed up formally. Meanwhile, Natalie was all wet in shorts and a tank top. Although this wasn’t the way Natalie wanted to remeber her brother being born it made it an even more special moment.

Kidnapped or Saved?

“Run.” That was the last thing her mother said to poor 10-year-old Sirena before Sirena’s mother was kidnapped. Sirena was never good at disobeying her mother, or really anyone. So that is exactly what Sirena did. Sirena ran. She dashed. She hurried. She raced.
Sirena stopped beside a rock and sat down to catch her breath.  She pulled out a picture from her pocket.  The picture was her older brother, Mark, and her father.  Mark had left for the army when Sirena was three. Then one day the letters from him had just stopped. They had gotten a call from the general when Sirena was about four and a half. Mark was dead. On top of it all, Sirena’s father had just disappeared last year.
“Sirena.” Sirena was so scared she dropped the photo. A few thoughts were buzzing around in her head. How does he know my name? Do I know that voice? No, that voice is too harsh.
“ Who are you?” She asked bending down to get the photo.
“Sirena,” His voice was much softer now. “Don’t you recognize my voice? It’s me, Mark.”
“Mark? We all thought you were…” Her voice trailed off as she turned around and look suspiciously at him. He is not him, she told herself. Although he does, coincidentally, look exactly like Mark. “ You're not Mark. Mark died. 6 years ago. We even got the call. If you are Mark, what is your favorite thing to do with me?”
He is never going to get..., Sirena  thought.
“I love to read to you.” His immediate response interrupted her thoughts.
“What is my last name?”
Again his answer had no hesitation, “Roberts.”
“What’s… What’s...What’s  my middle name?” No one knew her middle name except her immediate family. This, she thought, will determine if he is Mark.
“ Sirena. Seriously??!! Malaya. Now do you believe me?”
All of a sudden there was the loudest explosion Sirena ever heard but she didn’t even realize it because she was too busy thinking.
“You are Mark!” Sirena said surprised.
“We have to hurry. They are getting closer.” He said as a even louder explosion exploded. He turned around and started to walk away, fast.
“Who? Mark??!!” She said whiningly, having to break into a run just to catch up with him, “What’s going on?”
“I believe the Germans are starting World War 2.

Add-On Story

Today, on the way to school, I saw something dark in the street.  It looked like a shadow with no body.  It seemed to follow me.

I saw the school, and then the shadow again.  Suddenly, it was gone!  I realized what it was, but I couldn't think of anything it could want with me.

It turns out it wanted to kill me!

Suddenly, the shadow jumped and scared me to death.  Luckily, my mom used her ghostbusters suit to save me.  Then we went to fight some bad guys, and we killed them.

I saw this creature in the light.  It was a leprechaun.  It was horrible!  It had 40 eyes, 80 mouths, 100 feet, and five horrible ears!  We killed him, too.

My mom and I make a great team.  No one can stop us. No one!  NO ONE!  Do you want to try?

The Baby Swing

Starla was ten and stuck in a baby swing. How, you might ask?  Well, Starla’s adorable niece and three charming nephews were going to the park with Starla’s two sisters, Bryana and Joslyn. They invited Starla to go. Starla was so excited to play with her niece and nephews. When Bryana came to pick her up she jumped in the car. When they got to the park they met Joslyn and her daughter Evelyn. Starla looked around.  She saw, super long slide, monkey bars that looked like red licorice--Starla’s favourite candy, a plastic rock climb, and some trees to climb on.  Then she saw the navy blue baby swing.
Starla thought to herself, “When was the last time I went on one of those?  I’m going on.” As she got into the baby swing she realized it was much smaller than it looked. Starla tried to get out, but couldn’t. She yelled to her sisters “I’M KINDA STUCK!”
Starla’s sister Bryana tried to pull her out, but couldn’t, and Joslyn was 7 months pregnant. Bry called her husband. He didn’t answer. Jos tried to call her husband. He didn’t answer, either. Joslyn called their parents who were an hour away. They answered and said to call the fire department.
The fire department came immediately, but to the wrong park. They finally came to the right park by this time Starla had had no blood going to her legs for 20 minutes. The strong firemen were trying to pull her out.  While this was happening, one of Starla’s sisters was crying and the other was laughing.
Finally, Starla was out of the baby swing! She had gigantic blue bruises. Starla learned her lesson:
1 Never go in a baby swing at the age of ten.
2 Baby swings are dangerous.

Why Do We Need Zombies?

Actually, we don’t need or want zombies. They could be kind of useful to practice personal defense. But it’s very dangerous.

I know some of you don’t really want to know about zombies.

Okay, I’m gonna tell you the basic things about killing a zombie. First, grab a knife or a gun and grab it strong!  Second, shoot him or cut him. But, always remember it has to be in the brain. Third, is what i call “double tap“; always check if the Zombie is dead.

Here comes the second rule: when you are getting into a car, check the back seat! It could happen that a zombie was bitten inside the car.

This is an important third rule: It is called “ Enjoy small things“. Do not waste too much ammo. When it is one zombie kill him with a knife, but if there are many, get a machine gun and start shooting from side to side.

The fourth rule is this:  always, when you go to a bathroom, check all the stalls! My grandma always said, “ Check all the stalls," until she was bitten by a zombie and given to the tigers in the zoo, because the virus had recently started and the zoo was open.

An amazing fifth rule is this: When you are in a big place and you are going to a room, LEAVE SIGNALS where you have been because if zombies follow you, you don’t know where to go.

Points of View

My mom is helping my sister that is a Senior to go to a University. My mom says that if she doesn’t  study for the SAT , she wouldn’t go to the University she wants.

My sister says that she is studying, but the truth is that she is chatting with friends or on Facebook. When my mother comes to her room and she isn’t studying she is in BIG TROUBLE!

Months later, she begins to study a little bit more, and now she is going to the University she wants.

I thought that she was going to go to a bad University but now she is going to a good one.
